Emergency ward

The emergency ward of our Klinikum Döbeln hospital is geared up to provide immediate treatment for any patient requiring medical assistance, around the clock. Here, experienced surgeons, internal specialists, orthopedists or anesthesiologists and qualified medical and nursing staff will provide interdisciplinary medical assistance for patients covered by German employer’s liability insurance and emergency patients, around the clock and on 365 days a year.

Necessary diagnostic or therapeutic measures will be initiated and carried out in line with the pattern of disease or injury in a total of six medical treatment rooms including one room for surgical (operative) interventions.

After that, the patient will be hospitalized in the respective specialist clinic or unit of our hospital, or receive outpatient treatment from his or her family doctor, our specialist departments (surgical, accident insurance consultants, orthopedic, internistic) or from other resident physicians respectively.
